Practical implementation of AR
You have probably already heard of Augmented Reality, one of many buzz words of 2009. It's basically an application with a view of the real world merged with generated graphics reacting to the environment.
Most of its implementations I've come across so far seems to often tend to the nature of games and entertainment. But the other day I ran across an article about some guys at Columbia University’s Computer Graphics and User Interface Lab which had developed an Android based AR application that helps US Marines to repair military vehicles.
